	<title>Behavior Talk 003:  Joel Walton</title>
<itunes:author></itunes:author>
<itunes:subtitle></itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>Joel Walton is a dog trainer from the Washington DC area where he runs Walton Family Dog Training.  A charter member of APDT, he is known especially for his work with labradors, and has written a book, &quot;Labrador Retrievers for Dummies.&quot;  He also leads seminars on puppy training, and has written a book on the subject, &quot;Positive Puppy Training Works.&apos;

Joel was gracious enough to take a few minutes away from a busy conference schedule to talk with me about dogs, training, technology, and the future of APDT.

This is a special APDT edition of Behavior Talk. We were recently in Portland, Oregon, to attend the annual conference of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. And while there I had the chance to sit down with a number of the conference presenters and other notable animal behavior experts, and for the next two weeks, we&apos;re going to be bringing you an exclusive interview every day.
