Dr. Barbara Sherman is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences and the program in Animal Welfare, Ethics and Public Policy at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. There, she teaches animal behavior to veterinary students, serves as Director of the Animal Behavior Service of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and the Behavior Residency Training Program.
Dr. Sherman is a member of the organizing committee of the American College of Animal Welfare. Dr. Sherman is a Diplomate and immediate past president of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.
She has published numerous articles and book chapters, conducted clinical trials in behavioral pharmacology, and lectured widely on veterinary behavior problems.
