Pat Miller is a certified professional dog trainer and behavior consultant, author of 5 best-selling books on dog training and behavior, Training Editor and writer for the "Whole Dog Journal," regular contributor to Tufts University's "Your Dog," and "Popular Dogs, and past-president of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
Her strong commitment to science-based positive reinforcement training is well-known in the profession. Miller came to the dog training field after working for 20 years in animal protection, during which time she also trained and competed with her own personal dogs in obedience. She obtained a BS in Business Administration just prior to launching Peaceable Paws, and was among the first trainers in the world to obtain CPDT and CDBC certifications.
In addition to dog training classes and private consultations, Miller offers academies for trainers and a variety dog training workshops on the Peaceable Paws 80-acre campus in Fairplay, Maryland.
