About ABRIonline.org

ABRIonline.org is the culmination of a long held vision of founder and Chairman of the Board, Dr. R.K. Anderson. It has been his dream to create a non-profit organization where leading professionals in animal behavior and training can share their expertise and experience with the larger community of companion animal professionals. Dr. Anderson's tireless work in support of the human animal bond, and dedication to helping professionals and their clients better understand animal behavior and maintain positive relationships with their animals is the inspiration and driving force behind this website.

Conceived as a free resource to companion animal professionals, our mission is to enhance human animal relationships and improve quality of life for people and animals by providing education and animal behavior resources.

In 2003, Dr. Anderson was introduced to Duffer Schultz, a media production and communications professional. They began a series of trips around the country visiting notable professionals in animal behavior, videotaping their work with animals and conducting in-depth interviews. These professionals generously volunteered their time and efforts, and offered an enormous wealth of expertise in techniques and approaches. From these materials we created an initial series of short videos, and distributed them on a limited basis. The overwhelmingly positive response from the professional community convinced us that this concept was worthy of a larger and more focused effort.

In 2006 we formed Animal Behavior Resources Institute, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. In 2007 we launched ABRIonline.org, a website providing educational resources to companion animal professionals.

We also launched Animal Behavior Products, an online retail site offering recommended animal behavior products.

100% of the proceeds from sales at Animal Behavior Products are used to support the Animal Behavior Resources Institute, Inc.

The Institute is also supported through industry sponsorship, advertising, and private donations. Our goal is to make ABRIonline.org a valuable ongoing free resourceto the companion animal professional community.
